Yes, well, it is all about the hair. Just ask Keith Richards! Laurie tends to go with the "big bristly brush" look.

O Superman... I'd forgotten completely about that one. Yes, this is it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzYu88jIDYs

Definitively '80s electronic and mucho sympatico with Kraftwerk, Philip Glass and John Cage. She's collaborated -- or at least communed -- with just about everyone who's done anything remotely experimental in art or music: Glass, Cage, Zappa, Bowie, Peter Gabriel, William S. Burroughs (who appears in Home of the Brave), Timothy Leary, Andy Kaufman, Jean Michel Jarre, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics)...it's an impressive list.

Funny. I was thinking of Laurie Anderson just the other day as I pondered what to write. Didn't she do 'O Superman'? I also had no idea she was married to Lou Reed!

As for Andrew Belew, I saw him support Bowie in concert a few years back. Was singularly impressed. Bad haircut; fine guitarist.
